At Victory Home Education, we believe enrichment activities should be incorporated into every child’s education. Enrichment will become a part of your child’s weekly education.
Beginning February of 2017, Victory Home Education added art classes each month. Students are taught art class rules, manners, instruction and project application by a trained artist. This is not a typical art class!
We also believe that field trips are vital in the learning process. Field trips are when textbooks become alive and learning can take on a whole different meaning. At VHE, field trips will be scheduled frequently. In the past, students have attended field trips to the Discovery Park, Amish Country, Skyzone, The Homestead, Everette Horn Library, and Beech Lake Animal Hospital. Students also have taken a boat ride!
Each semester, students will participate in an in depth literature study. A lapbook will be completed during each reading for the children to take home. Students have completed a study on “Little House on the Prairie.” During the semester, children made butter and corn husks dolls, learned about prairie life, and much, much more! “Dr. Doolittle” was our second novel during the 2016-2017 school year.
